Remuera House
Cedar Custom Shutters – Hinged custom hardware Stainless
This elegantly designed renovation project was an extension of an existing house in Remuera, Auckland. An architect’s own home with his company designing and project managing the build to the highest of standards, has created a warm and inviting residence with an open plan living area that incorporates unique design features.
The project incorporates timber joinery and external folding cedar shutters with custom designed Zebratti stainless steel strap hinges with an adjustable jamb pivot mechanism manufactured to the client’s specifications.
A beautifully award winning designed renovation that is comfortable all year round.
Collaborated Design
We worked with the joiner to achieve the architects requirement of having very wide panels that would durably operate for many years to come.
Prototyping
3D models were created, so the customer could see different design options, and choose a direction without the need for physical prototypes.
Safe and Sound
A test method was developed to ensure that computational modelling was correct, and that the unique loaded pivot design would withstand the loading it would see in service.
NZ Manufactured
Our deep knowledge of CNC machining stainless steel was brought into action, to produce exceptionally strong billet pivots, before welding and applying a satin finish.
